Summer at 170

As preferred suppliers to Imperial College, a sprawling campus in Kensington, we provide flowers for many different occasions and events – graduations to formal dinners and lectures, or bouquets for clients, but most of all we love creating flower displays for weddings at 170 Queensgate, which is the jewel in the college’s crown

Anne and Ian’s wedding last August was a lovely affair and we were delighted to help out with the flowers for the ceremony in the Solar Room and for the dinner tables in the Council Room

Anne was sure that she wanted very muted colours for her bouquet and the table flowers but with a little touch of blue Cornflower for the buttonholes as they are Ian’s favourite flower. So when we visited the flower market to make choices, it was a simple palette to research but the flowers had to be just right – creamy Vendella Roses, Majolica spray Roses, ivory Freesia, a little delicate Queen Anne’s Lace and a few Crystal Blush Calla Lilies

We added ivory Hydrangea and Delphinium along with fresh green Bells of Ireland to the green foliage in two silver urns which flanked the Registrar Table and used a pair of the elegant glass cake stand displays on the table itself

170 Queensgate is a beautiful venue for a small intimate wedding and is ideally situated just along with the Natural History and Victoria and Albert Museum’s in South Kensington

Dartmouth House wedding venue

One of my most favourite places to flower for a wedding is the wonderful Dartmouth House.. set in the heart of Mayfair, it has a lovely history and is currently the home of the English Speaking Union. But it is also a truly fabulous venue in which to get married
