Wedding Fever

If you were lucky enough to have a certain question popped this Valentine’s Day, then firstly, congratulations! And secondly, you will be looking around for a number of things, a dress, a venue, a – cough, cough – florist, a jeweller and a whole host of other exciting things that you will search for and fall in love with just once in your life – a bit like that husband, or wife, to be!

In which case, we would like to introduce you to one of our favourite venues, One Whitehall Place in the heart of Westminster. A stunning building with fabulously photogenic interiors, it just begs to be dressed with flowers and lovely people in posh frocks and suits … and you can see it so dressed on Saturday 1st March when it flings open its doors for a special Wedding Open Day.

We have worked with One Whitehall Place for nearly 5 years and in that time have seen many brides and grooms celebrate their marriage in the wonderful, character-filled rooms up on the second floor

There is the stunning double height Gladstone Library suitable for a glamorous ceremony or reception dinner, the equally beautiful Reading and Writing Room with its incredible paintings and view over the gardens to the River Thames plus the River Room (guess what view it has!) and the charming Meston Suite which is a perfect for an intimate dinner or smaller wedding reception

We will be dressing the venue for a wedding on March 1, so why not come along and see what your wedding could look like … just make contact with Laura Ramella, OWP’s super efficient Wedding Co-ordinator, who can book you in for a show around.

And if you would like to specifically talk flowers on the day, just email or call in advance and we will put you in the diary.

Dartmouth House wedding venue

One of my most favourite places to flower for a wedding is the wonderful Dartmouth House.. set in the heart of Mayfair, it has a lovely history and is currently the home of the English Speaking Union. But it is also a truly fabulous venue in which to get married
