Overall I think pink has got to be one of the most favourite flower colours for weddings and for Celia and Chris’ wedding at Addington Palace we used a whole palette of them
As well as a traditional Chinese tea ceremony which took place before the main event, the couple went for a pretty classic English wedding breakfast set up
Celia was very keen to have large open flowers in the displays and her bouquet, so we settled quickly on Sarah Bernhardt peony, sweetly fragranced David Austin Miranda roses, Robina lilies as the feature flowers mixed with Heaven and Aqua roses, cream stock, pink lisianthus and ivy and sage foliage. Delicate heads of starry astrantia also played a role in the bouquets and table centres
We had to exit the venue very sharply as guests started to arrive earlier than planned for the tea ceremony but realised once we’d left that the cake was still undecorated. A quick phone call ensured that a couple of the ushers were able to put the cake flowers we’d left in place – and they didn’t do a bad job!
