I don’t know how it happens but I always seem to have a wedding on my birthday…. well September is a popular month and I’ve had enough birthdays to not worry about it now I guess but this one was even more special as it was the wedding of my lovely friend and a-ma-zing photographer Julie Michaelsen and her beau Ross Haley
Julie and Ross were having their main wedding celebration in Italy later in the month but decided to have a London based civil wedding and party for friends and family based here… and I’m so glad they did as it gave me the opportunity to do Julie’s wedding flowers
From getting ready with her best girls at home that morning to the party later in the day, Julie looked beautiful… the lovely Ana Ospina from Beaut Studio was on hand with her make up skills and Louise from Love Hair by Lou dressed Julie’s hair with a delicate vine
Of course, all the best people get married at Chelsea Registry Office from rock stars, celebrities from A-Z list and certain florists…so the day kicked off the way it then continued with lots of smiles and laughter… and probably a bit of singing as these Danes do like an impromptu sing-song!
Julie looked stunning in her Catherine Deane dress and Alexandre Birman shoes and Ross didn’t look too shabby either!
The reception continued at Julie’s father’s house in Notting Hill and they couldn’t have had a more glorious day for it, the sun shone all day and if I’m honest, the flowers got a bit hot and bothered!!
Julie gave me quite a free rein on the flowers but just asked for colour so I chose a mix of garden roses – Caffe Latte, Caramel Antique, Miss Pink spray roses with wonderful chocolate Cosmos, luschious dark Dahlias and lilac Clematis finished with long silk ribbons from Lancaster & Cornish
Their amazing photographer, Miss Gen, took them on a mini tour of the area and captured these beautiful shots of two people destined for a life of love together x
