Love is in the air …

…everywhere you look around! And no more so than in this fabulous coverage of Katie and Tom’s summer wedding from last year. Shot beautifully by Hannah McClune it has already appeared in Perfect Wedding June 2016 issue but if you missed that, do have a look through at this wonderfully romantic wedding and all its lovely details

Katie was very clear about the look that she wanted… soft, romantic, delicate colours and flowers with hints of blush and gold… but other than that she was happy to leave me free rein to create displays to fit with the venue – a perfect bride in other words

Hannah captured some lovely shots of the girls getting ready on the wedding morning and the arrival of Katie and her maids’ flowers – pastel bouquets of fragrant garden roses, stock, freesia and lisianthus tied with lush silk ribbons from Lancaster & Cornish

And a gorgeous gift in a special blue box from Tom which arrived before she left #love

Hampton Court House wedding

It seems such a long time ago now that we were planning and working on Emily and Ros’ wedding back at the end of November at the lovely Hampton Court House

The girls were keen to avoid any kind of Christmas feel to the wedding flowers but wanted to warm up the cool white palette with hints of berries and touches of red and we were happy to oblige  emily and ros wedding HCH

The wonderfully inviting Hall at the venue was dressed for the girls’ ceremony with  large displays of ivory flowers – Delphinium, Hydrangea, Guelder, Eucalyptus and Privet with the addition of large headed blush O’Hara Roses – which flanked the French doors giving onto Bushy Park and our lovely deer friends who came to watch us setting up!

Meanwhile, for the reception in the Dining Hall, we created low displays of seasonal flowers such as Roses, Lisianthus, fragrant Freesia and Phlox with accents of colour supplied by Rosehips and Skimmia with fresh dark green berried ivy foliage set onto elegant glass cake stands complete with large candle, mirror centre pieces and tea lights to make the most of the dark evening to comeemily and ros wedding HCH

Unfortunately I only have a rough shot of Emily’s bouquet, a trailing number with large headed Vendella and Avalanche Roses, delicate Snowflake spray Roses, Freesia, Phlox, Broom, Rosemary, Ruscus and Ivy foliage … but I think you get the idea!emily and ros wedding HCHemily and ros wedding HCH

And finally we made a keepsake for the little Flower Girl of a beribboned faux Peony fairy want to enable her to play the Bride in dressing up sessions for months to come!

We’re all going to the zoo!!

welcome board with hydrangeaLast June we were delighted to be involved in putting together the flowers for Katie and Justin’s wedding at London Zoo in Regent’s Park. Although very pregnant during the lead up to the wedding, Katie was absolutely certain about the look she wanted for the Mappin Room and the overall feel for the day – light and fun, with little personal touches that would make a difference when they looked back on the big day.
