Love is in the air …

…everywhere you look around! And no more so than in this fabulous coverage of Katie and Tom’s summer wedding from last year. Shot beautifully by Hannah McClune it has already appeared in Perfect Wedding June 2016 issue but if you missed that, do have a look through at this wonderfully romantic wedding and all its lovely details

Katie was very clear about the look that she wanted… soft, romantic, delicate colours and flowers with hints of blush and gold… but other than that she was happy to leave me free rein to create displays to fit with the venue – a perfect bride in other words

Hannah captured some lovely shots of the girls getting ready on the wedding morning and the arrival of Katie and her maids’ flowers – pastel bouquets of fragrant garden roses, stock, freesia and lisianthus tied with lush silk ribbons from Lancaster & Cornish

And a gorgeous gift in a special blue box from Tom which arrived before she left #love

Home House wedding

Back in November we had the pleasure to work at the wonderful Home House in central London, with Katrina Otter, for such a lovely lovely couple

Linda was one of those delightful brides with a strong vision of what she wanted but once convinced that we ‘got’ the look… she was very happy to trust us to fulfil the brief, which was ‘lush, pink, candles, scent, and more pink’!

See what you think, but I’m pretty sure we ticked those boxes!

As you can see, PINK was the order for the day and it featured everywhere! From the lush ceremony flowers to the slightly wild bouquet through to the sparkly table centres we brought in every shade of pink we could find … I was especially pleased with the ombré flowers around the copper wire lights for each table. The mix of gold and clear vases set them off really well

We used white O’Hara, All for Love, Cherryo, Sweet Avalanche, Bombastic, Art Deco, Kiera and Deep Purple Roses together with hot pink and mid pink Ranunculas, blush Anemones, pink Hydrangea and a mass of Eucalyptus and Mimosa foliage

We found Home House to be one of the most welcoming venues in central London and the suppliers we worked alongside were also amazing … witness this stunning petal design cake from The Abigail Bloom Cake Company

This wedding was a perfect example of why couples should trust wedding planners to bring their wedding vision to life and keep the wedding date itself moving along smoothly and seamlessly towards a fantastic end x

Pretty in Pink

We were off to the fabulous Sardo Canale in Camden today for Janine’s birthday party – a very hot affair, hot pink that is! This has to be one of my favourite restaurants so I completely understood why Janine chose it to bring 30 of her closest girls together for a celebratory lunch

We chose cerise pink large headed Columbian Queensberry Roses, gorgeous hot pink Ranunculus and Anenomes and even the humble bright pink Carnation got a look in, made into contemporary domes all set in silver mirrored vases

Janine wanted to be able to hop from one table to another and have a chance to see all her friends during the lunch so we left a space on each of the three long tables for the birthday girl to slip into – one for each course. A brilliantly adaptable idea that could also work for long tables at weddings – in fact I did it at mine!

I asked the wonderful Lisa @ribbonsandtulle to make some neat place card labels which were tied with a hot pink ribbon and finished with a single rose in, you guessed it, hot pink!

I think everyone had a great day and I may even pop into Sardo for lunch tomorrow to celebrate . . . well it is Sunday!
