Flowered Hens in Islington!

Yesterday, I had so much fun hosting a floral workshop for Cat and her lovely group of hens who had organised a surprise day for her in advance of her wedding this coming August

Up at our usual workshop home of The Blacksmith and The Toffeemaker, we were treated to in-house home baked cake and brownies plus a plethora of other cake bought and brought by the hens… washed down with some Prosecco of course!

If you are getting married, or perhaps helping to organise the hen party for someone who is, then why not try a floral workshop? We can make floral crowns, bouquets, vase arrangements, supply cake and refreshments – plus booze as required – and make sure you have a fun time. Just look at what the girls made yesterday

If you are interested please email with an enquiry and we can go from there x

PS – just received this fab email from The Hen’s sister who organised the whole event ….

Hi Liz

Just a quick email to say a huge thank you for the fab workshop on Saturday for Cat’s hen

It was totally awesome, we loved every minute and it really got the day off to a fab start

All the little details, the flowers, the bags to take the flowers away and the mini cactuses were fantastic

Thank you so much!

Home House wedding

Back in November we had the pleasure to work at the wonderful Home House in central London, with Katrina Otter, for such a lovely lovely couple

Linda was one of those delightful brides with a strong vision of what she wanted but once convinced that we ‘got’ the look… she was very happy to trust us to fulfil the brief, which was ‘lush, pink, candles, scent, and more pink’!

See what you think, but I’m pretty sure we ticked those boxes!

As you can see, PINK was the order for the day and it featured everywhere! From the lush ceremony flowers to the slightly wild bouquet through to the sparkly table centres we brought in every shade of pink we could find … I was especially pleased with the ombré flowers around the copper wire lights for each table. The mix of gold and clear vases set them off really well

We used white O’Hara, All for Love, Cherryo, Sweet Avalanche, Bombastic, Art Deco, Kiera and Deep Purple Roses together with hot pink and mid pink Ranunculas, blush Anemones, pink Hydrangea and a mass of Eucalyptus and Mimosa foliage

We found Home House to be one of the most welcoming venues in central London and the suppliers we worked alongside were also amazing … witness this stunning petal design cake from The Abigail Bloom Cake Company

This wedding was a perfect example of why couples should trust wedding planners to bring their wedding vision to life and keep the wedding date itself moving along smoothly and seamlessly towards a fantastic end x

Kate & Anthony’s Wedding at Whitehall Place

I first met Anthony when he came to the Spring open day at Whitehall Place and he was very sure about what he wanted for his wedding – which at that point was over a year away. I took some notes and suggested that we speak that same year. He then came to the next open day, in October, this time with the lovely Kate in tow. She mentioned their wedding date and I quickly was able to flick back in my notebook to our original discussion and could confirm that her husband to be had indeed briefed me correctly and fully on the look and theme for their wedding day … she was impressed but not as impressed as I was that he was so on top of everything!
