..as the song goes! And Emma and Will's wedding was all about the garden, wow!
Now I know the English weather doesn't always come out to play when we have outdoor events but if you can take advantage of it when possible, boy does it pay off!
Will's parents live in a beautiful part of the Essex countryside surrounded by fields, so for Kiwi Emma it was a done deal opting for a glass marquee so they could integrate with and enjoy the outside to the max
This absolute dreamboat of a couple chose Louise Perry to co-ordinate their wedding as they wouldn't be in the country to do much of it themselves and, I have to say, having worked with Louise many times, they made an excellent choice... if you are based overseas, getting married in another country or are just time-poor, a wedding planner can be the best decision you ever make in the whole of the wedding process
Emma wanted a clean fresh palette so we chose green and white - tons of fragrant garden roses from The Real Flower Company, ammi majus, stock, sweet peas, astilbe and the first of the cosmos were teamed with eucalyptus, pittosporum (as a nod to Emma's homeland) and a mix of other seasonal bits of greenery from my garden!
We continued this theme in the clear span marquee from Fairy Tale Marquees - which in itself was a complete challenge in almost 35 degree heat!
Long wooden tables and elegantly contemporary cross-back chairs were beautifully teamed with glass/gold chargers and gorgeous stemware all from Couvert Hire
We dressed the marquee itself with super long garlands of greenery and white flowers - and couldn't have managed without the boys at Box Productions during the install! x
Kalm Kitchen provided the amazing food and drink and stunning styling for their areas around the marquee and garden - they really are experts at making the simple quite extraordinary
With signage from Betty Lou and a gorgeous cake from Fifis Cakery, it was one hell of a hot day!
