This happy image of a lovely couple sums up last October for me... Lizzie and Tom were married at Syon Park with a beautiful foliage filled ceremony in the wonderful Great Hall followed by a reception with family and friends in the Conservatory
I was absolutely delighted when wedding planner supremo Louise Perry asked me to be involved with this wedding... I love Syon Park and also love working with Louise... her weddings are fun and gorgeous but also incredible tightly run ships that glide along
Lizzie was the most lovely bride to work with too... she said, I love what you do and Louise trust you.. what more do I need! Just do what you do best... so I did!
I have to say this bouquet was one of my absolutely faves from 2017 (and maybe ever!) featuring fragrant O'Hara roses (they get into everything!), scabious, lysmachia, astrantia, scabious stellata pods and Majolica spray roses teamed with mint, fern and jasmine from my garden and some touches of blue from delphinium, thistle and oxypetalum… it was packed!
The cutest bridesmaids, mini bouquet-like buttonholes and a sneaky rare shot of me delivering the personals
We dressed the ceremony space in the Great Hall with 3m tall birch trees and a wild and woolly arch dressed with more birch, autumnal eucalyptus, pittosporum, jasmine and asparagus fern and hydrangea and lined the aisle with simple bunches of foliage ted with long ribbons which then went on to the top table chairs... i do love to reuse and upcycle!
And this cake... simple but oh so awesome... and the addition of a few co-ordinating flowers is never a bad thing!
We moved the ceremony arch and the trees into the reception space as it was just perfect for them and added some tall foliage-heavy displays to make the most of the high ceiling and sense of outdoors/indoors through the glass
Safe to say this was a favourite wedding and we've been back to Syon Park twice this year already and have a couple more wedding visits planned for next year... so if you are looking for a venue, go check it out x
