For almost a year I'd been looking forward to this wedding taking place... Sam and Jay are the loveliest couple and although they work on opposite sides of the political divide, they are absolutely united in their love for each other
I asked the wonderful and talented Gyan Gurung to shoot some behind the scenes images to tide me over until the happy couple's professional shots appear
We worked with Scott at The Happy Chuppah Company to create this soft seasonally flowered chuppah - the frame is called Shoreditch and is very elegant with a fabric roof and white frame
Teamed with pale wood Chivari chairs and our black framed candle lanterns, the Gallery at St Pancras Renaissance looked amazing with sun light flooding in from the wall of windows overlooking the hotel entrance
We used hundreds of fragrant garden roses - Ohara, Yves Piaget, Majolika, Porcelina plus nude Quicksand roses, Vienna Copper blooms, scabious, cosmos, and pure white hydrangea paired with fresh green beech, pittosporum and hornbeam foliage with ivy and jasmine trails and dark pops of prunus
Some of the floral displays moved downstairs to the Hansom Hall for the wedding reception... the window displays moved to the floor infront of the top table and the lanterns from the aisle added to the twinkling ambiance within the reception room
I've never seen the Hansom Hall look so elegant... the September light flooding in the floor to ceiling windows was amazing and the long tables looked stunning! I think this room lends itself to long tables and especially for a large party like this
We teamed our tall gold metal riser stands with low soft blue ceramic bowls... all topped and filled with overflowing fragrant garden roses, stock, cosmos, scabious and astilbe, geranium, jasmine and rosemary foliage
Hundreds of candles and tonnes of tealights filled the room with delicate light as the room grew dark and the guests partied on through the evening
… and of course Sam had a beautiful bouquet featuring Quicksand, Yves Piaget and Ohara roses, orlaya, astilbe, astrantia and lisianthus with mimosa, eucalyptus and jasmine foliage tied with a coffee coloured ribbon
