Hedsor House

Although I'm based and live in London, I travel all round the UK for weddings and have been lucky enough to work in some truly amazing venues both in and out of the capital

One of these is the impressive Hedsor House.... I've worked on many weddings here but also a few styled shoots. These are where a team of wedding suppliers create a 'wedding' of their own... we devise an idea, a look that we want to bring to life and make it happen... a venue, photographer, dresses, cake, model, hair and make up and of course flowers!

It is a perfect way to work with different suppliers, people we admire in the industry but haven't crossed paths with yet, new suppliers who are just starting out and even old friends with whom you might want to try something different...

These images are from such a shoot at Hedsor earlier this year.... shot by the inimitable Beccy Goddard and visualised by the lovely Emma at Daphne and George Weddings

One of the things we are most asked to do, at Hedsor and other venues, is to create a dramatic entrance to greet the wedding guests as they arrive for the ceremony... and that is just what I did here, our birch frame covered with glorious seasonal beech and hornbeam foliage, dressed with fragrant garden roses, campanula, solomon's seal, hydrangea, foxgloves, spirea, scabious, lisianthus, jasmine, orlaya and much more.... it makes for a stunning view as you come up the front steps

Finished with our black edged lanterns around the base, it can easily go from daytime to night and be there to wave the guests off as they leave

But before that, here is what went on inside...

It has appeared on Love My Dress this past week and you can see more of that here

Our beautiful model Natalie, with make up by Alice from the Tori Harris Pro Team, wore the most glorious dress from Halfpenny London...comprising the Riri skirt with its ruffles for days, teamed with the Laura top and Iris camisole... just look at that detail, what a first look that would be!

We also had beautiful accessories from Victoria Fergusson, jewellery from India Mahon, shoes from Freya Rose London and stationery from EG Lettering, gorgeous tableware and furniture from Crystal Hire, linen from Just 4 Linen and ribbons and runners from Silk and Purl

The most gloriously stunning cake from Unique Cakes by Yevnig was just out of this world and pulled together the elements of delicate florals, the touch of blue and the elegant old world charm of this venue

If you are looking for a venue outside of London for next year or 2021, do look at Hedsor...with its spectacular views, setting and unique history, it is in a league of its own x
